Yan Di had many, many children, but he had one favorite, Jing Wei. She was very beautiful and loved to play out on the open sea. One day, as she was frolicking in her favorite sailboat, a giant wave hit her, and she drowned. Once her father found out, he had no choice but to bury her and weep *sob*. Who knew, that after Jing Wei died, she became a beautiful bird with colorful feathers, a white beak, and red feet. From that day on, Jing Wei always brought a stick, or stone with her to try (in vain) to flatten the sea. Day after day, the sea tried to convince her to stop this tedious work and give up. The sea claimed that it would never happen, everything would just sink to the bottom and cause no harm to the sea. Besides, Jing Wei could never bring something large or heavy enough to pose a threat to the almighty sea. But Jing Wei didn't listen, she still persisted. She did this every single moment of her time. Yet she may never prevail. But she continued for her lost life and the lost lives of others. This may be the reason we see so many sticks and stones and other debris appear on our beaches. It just might be the sea trying to dispose of Jing Wei's attempts to try to flatten it.
Once upon a time, there was a giant named Kua Fu who popped out of absolutely nowhere and thought he was sooooo awesome (he was also real nice). One day, to make sure his people were no longer cold and to bring them warmth (kinda like Prometheus), he decided to chase the sun (smart, right?). As he ran and ran with his super big strides (he is a giant after all) he got more tired and tired (After all, he was really close to the sun at that time). Very soon Kua Fu was suuuuupeeer thirsty. so he drank up a river. He ran a bit more, then he drank up a lake, then the sea (I'm surprised he didn't die of dehydration from that) he was still thirsty and drank the Chang Jiang and Huang He. Finally, when he got to his village and ran halfway across the world, he lay down to rest and died of exhaustion and heartburn. His wooden staff that he always carried around (when I say always I mean A.L.W.A.Y.S.) became a bijillion peach trees (FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD) to quench our thirst so we don...
good story!
