Pan Gu Creates The WORLD! A.K.A Chinese Big Bang Theory

Once upon a time, before the skies and seas were formed, it was all chaos. There was no ending point or edge, no up or down or left or right, no cardinal directions, just a giant egg. Within this egg, there was Pan Gu the ancestor of all humans.
After 18,000 years, Pan Gu woke up. He found out all was pitch black, so he got really mad(Anger Issues!). He picked up the ax he somehow found in there (mythology explains all) and broke the chaos egg. All the lighter things floated up and became the sky, while everything that was heavy sank down and became the ground. From then on, the sky and ground were separate.
Pan Gu now used his head to keep the sky up and his feet to keep the ground down. He then grew a meter an day for another 18,000 years (kids grow fast, just not that fast!). At that time, the sky couldn't get any higher and the ground couldn't get any lower. By that time he was a giant, almost like a pillar that kept the earth and sky apart.
The sky followed his emotion, when he was happy the sky was clear, angry then cloudy, crying then raining, sighing then blowing gusts of wind. Many years later, Pan Gu died and lay on the ground, his head, limbs, and feet became mountains, his hair became grass and trees, his eyes became the sun and moon.

  1. I think you have a small typo -- the sky and the what followed his emotions?

Nv Wa Fixes Up The Broken Sky

After Nv Wa created us, the water god and fire god got into a huge hissy fight. They fought from the sky to the ground, but the fire god won. The water god was such a sore loser that he hit his head on the mountain that kept the earth and sky apart. The mountain crumbled into itty bitty pieces and a chunk of the sky fell out. There was fire raging everywhere and flood water rushing out of the broken sky. Around this time, we were pretty miserable (as we should be) so Nv Wa decided that she should fix things up for her darling little creatures. She took super bright and colorful stones (I'm surprised she can find stones that aren't brown) and patched up the sky. Yay! Then she realized she needed something to keep the sky up, otherwise the same thing would happen. Wow. so she took a giant tortoise that somehow existed and plopped it down to hold up the sky. It worked! Somehow.                               ...

Niu Lang and Zhi Nv Part I

Niu Lang was a unfortunate child, his parents died at an early age, so he was taken in by his aunt and brother. But, they treated him badly, and didn't let him wear warm clothes or eat until he was full. They also made him do a lot of work. In the daytime, he farmed and took care of the family cow. At night, he slept with the cow in the stables. Niu Lang and the cow were exceptionally close, as though they were family. One day, his aunt told him that he must leave, and he could take the cow with him. Niu Lang was very happy to leave that place and to take the cow with him. He told the cow to go wherever he wished and they could start  a home there. The cow stopped in a pasture near a lake. A couple days after they stopped, the cow spoke to Niu Lang. The cow said: " Go to the lake tomorrow and take the pink robe. This robe will get you a beautiful wife. " The next day, Niu Lang followed the cow's directions and saw the pink robe. He quickly snatched up the robe ...

Jing Wei Makes the Executive Decision to Flatten the Sea

Yan Di had many, many children, but he had one favorite, Jing Wei. She was very beautiful and loved to play out on the open sea. One day, as she was frolicking in her favorite sailboat, a giant wave hit her, and she drowned. Once her father found out, he had no choice but to bury her and weep *sob*. Who knew, that after Jing Wei  died, she became a beautiful bird with colorful feathers, a white beak, and red feet. From that day on, Jing Wei always brought a stick, or stone with her to try (in vain) to flatten the sea. Day after day, the sea tried to convince her to stop this tedious work and give up.  The sea claimed that it would never happen, everything would just sink to the bottom and cause no harm to the sea. Besides, Jing Wei could never bring something large or heavy enough to pose a threat to the almighty sea. But Jing Wei didn't listen, she still persisted. She did this every single moment of her time. Yet she may never prevail. But she continued for her lost lif...
